We are grateful for the kind support from BAPS in hosting this site. The Trips site is meant to be a resource for trainees in the United Kingdom. The idea is to bring all resources that are relevant to the trainee under one roof. The site will be updated on a regular basis as far as possible. Why is my browser not rendering the site as it should ?
Most problems with rendering are encountered with Internet Explorer as it is not compliant to current web standards. The most compliant of browsers and freely available is Firefox and this is cross platform. It is faster, safer and delivers a much better web experience.

What is RSS ?
RSS (Really Simple Syndication) is a protocol, an application of XML, that provides an open method of syndicating and aggregating web content. It is a very simple way to receive automatic updates from your chosen websites. Instead of going to a website, the website will send you a message every time there is something new. "Trips" offers RSS feeds of current headlines.

How can I make use of RSS? You need to install a "News Reader" (sometimes called an Aggregator) on your desktop computer. All you have to do then is to use your "News Reader" to subscribe to the RSS content. This will display the latest headlines and content from your chosen websites.

How do I a get a News Reader? There are various RSS News Readers available for download from the net. Some of the best News Readers are free. eg; Google reader.

How can I sign up to RSS feeds from "Trips" ? Copy and paste the URL (feed://www.trainee.baps.org.uk/page1/files/Trips.xml) on to your News Reader. Then follow the instructions of the particular News Reader you've installed. Older browser versions of IE do not display RSS feeds too well. Update it to the latest version to avoid this problem.
