The annual Simpson Smith Symposium focuses on aspects of paediatric surgery, providingan insight into innovation and current practice, with speakers from major centres of excellence in the field. The topics for this year are Long TermOutcomes and Laparoscopic vs Open Surgery.
 
The day will end with an open lecture,The Simpson Smith Memorial Lecture: “No longer stuck! Electrical therapy provides a bright spark of hope for managing slow transit constipation” Professor John Hutson (Melbourne, Australia)
 
The Symposium attracts regular and new participants each year fromcentres in theUKand throughoutEurope. The thematicdesign of the day enables speakers to give in-depth information onthe topics chosen, and there are opportunities for discussion with speakers and participants working in many different areas.

FEES:
Early Bird (register before 9th April 2009):£160 or £100 for trainees
Full fee (after 9thApril 2009):£180 or £120 for trainees
