Vascular access course

WMVACFlyer 2010jun09

The one day course on the ‘Ultrasound guided percutaneous approach to central venous access’ teaches the principles of ultrasound, revises vascular anatomy and its common variations and describes various tips and pitfalls associated with the technique.  The afternoon is exclusively dedicated to practical teaching on manikins so that students will master the technique of puncture using the ultrasound to guide the needle into the vein; in particular, we focus on teaching how to keep the needle point in view at all times.  More information about the course can be found on the website www.linesrus.co.uk .
