The Needlemakers Company Educational Bursaries

The Worshipful Company of Needlemakers is providing five bursaries of up to £1000 each in the academic year 2009-10. The bursaries are available to trainees who are members of the College and wish to attend a Specialty Skills course at the Royal College of Surgeons of England.
In order to apply, you must:
1. Be a member of the Royal College of Surgeons of England, in a recognised UK specialty training programme and in the intermediate stage of your training.
2. Demonstrate how the course will contribute to your learning objectives for the academic year, and evidence that the chosen course will contribute substantially to the furtherance of your career.

Call for 2009 ESPU Thesis Award

Dear Member of the ESPU,
 
Thesis must be approved by a university in Europe (or in a country affiliated with the UEMS). Thesis of the year 2006-2007-2008 can be submitted. Thesis can be in a different language but should consist of at least two articles published in a peer reviewed journal, the introduction and conclusion should be in the English language. A thesis cannot be submitted twice.

You have to submit 5 copies to the ESPU administrative coordinator

You have to include (or e-mail) a summary of your work in "10 slides" in a PowerPoint presentation
 
Deadline 29th March 2009
 
Professor Serdar Tekgul, Chair Scientific Committee, and the review committee will evaluate your thesis. 
The winner will be announced during the ESPU Annual Meeting in Amsterdam, 6-9 May 2009.
