Tricks of the Trade in Pediatric Surgery:  Innovative Solutions to Common Problems
March 3, 2010


On March 3rd, 2010, Rainbow Babies and Children's Hospital in Cleveland, Ohio will be holding an international CME web-symposium entitled, "Tricks of the Trade: Innovative Solutions to Common Problems in Pediatric Surgery".  This symposium will be held in collaboration with the Children's National Medical Center, Sheikh Zayed Institute for Pediatric Surgical Innovation in Washington, DC, and IPEG (The International Pediatric Endosurgery Group).  
 
The event will be a full day forum for pediatric surgeons to present their new and innovative ideas in pediatric surgery to other surgeons around the world.   Although we will be presenting videos from some of our distinguished faculty including Edward Barksdale, Michael CatyAlan Flake, Jim Geiger, Jay Grosfeld, Michael Harrison, Timothy Kane, Jacob Langer, Jean-Martin Laberge, Marcelo Martinez Ferro, Kurt Newman, Keith Oldham, Daniel Ostlie, Robert Parry, Steve Rothenberg, Anthony Sandler, Charlie Stolar, John Waldhausen, and Mory Ziegler, we are also inviting you to submit a brief video highlighting any innovative technique that you are using to treat common problems in your practice.

Submit an abstract along with a 3 to 5 minute video of an interesting case and/or new therapy.  Click here or contact Cynthia Shega, Administrator for the Institute of Surgery and Innovation at cynthia.shega@uhhospitals.org for submission details.  All video submission are due by December 22, 2009.

Tricks of the Trade in Pediatric Surgery:  Innovative Solutions to Common Problems
 
This international "Web Symposium" on innovations in pediatric surgery will be directed towards pediatric surgeons from around the world who have an interest in presenting and / or discussing some of the newest innovative techniques or therapies in pediatric surgery.  This symposium will allow surgeons from around the world to demonstrate any innovative tools techniques that they are utilizing at their institution.  Following each presentation there will be open forum among the participants to discuss the new techniques.
